Cuba Man Arrested For Intentional Vehicle Collision, Domestic Battery

MCDONOUGH COUNTY, IL – An intentional two-vehicle collision near Vermont, IL resulted in serious injuries for one of the passengers and the arrest of a Cuba, IL man.

According to reports, McDonough County Deputies were dispatched to investigate a two-vehicle crash that occurred on November 8th at 4:12 p.m. at the intersection of East 2200th and Elizabeth Road in rural El Dorado Township near Vermont, IL.

Following investigation, it was determined that Justin L. Edwards, 33, of Cuba, IL, intentionally drove his vehicle into that one being driven by William M. Worthington, 22, of Table Grove, IL.

A female passenger in Worthington’s vehicle was seriously injured in the collision when she was ejected from the vehicle. She has been transported to OSF Medical Center in Peoria.

Edwards was arrested on November 10th on a McDonough County Warrant, charged with one count of Aggravated Domestic Battery and two counts of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon. He remains lodged in the McDonough County Jail pending the outcome of his case.

All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
