MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University announced that Michael “Mick” Cumbie will become the WIU College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Development Officer, effective Monday, July 10th.
Cumbie is currently an agent with Purdum Gray Ingledue Beck, Inc. in Macomb and was interim chief executive officer for the YMCA of McDonough County in 2021. He previously served as the COFAC director of development from 2006-2015.
“I am pleased to welcome Mick back to Western, and to our Development team,” said WIU Foundation Executive Officer Brad Bainter. “The experience he has gained after leaving Western, and his knowledge of Western and the College of Fine Arts and Communication, will be a big plus to Western as we move forward in our $100 million campaign.”
Cumbie received his bachelor’s degree in Administrative Management from Clemson University and his master’s degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma.
