Step back into the golden age of disco with ‘DANCING QUEEN: An ABBA Salute,’ hosted by the Bishop Hill Heritage Association. This acclaimed tribute band will electrify the village park with ABBA’s timeless classics on July 13, 2024, at 1 PM, for a two-hour concert. Celebrate the 50th anniversary of ABBA’s Eurovision triumph at this free community event. Attendees can relish local cuisine and beverages while enjoying the nostalgic melodies. Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs for a comfortable experience. Join us for an unforgettable evening of music and memory in Bishop Hill. The Bishop Hill Old Settles’ Association will have a hot dog stand by the Colony Store. The Bishop Hill Methodist Church is having a bake sale next to the Steeple Building Museum. Henn House BBQ and Azteca will have food trucks, located between the Prairie Arts Center and the Post Office on Christina Street. Bishop Hill also has three restaurants and a bakery for your eating pleasure.
The Dancing Queen concert is free and open to the public, due to the financial support of the Community State Bank, Barbro Osher Pro Suecia Foundation, Minneapolis Foundation, Illinois Arts Council, and the Bishop Hill Heritage Association. Golf carts will be available to move people to the park. Please bring lawn chairs and enjoy this Las Vegas-type show!
