A death investigation was initiated last night after a male subject was found unresponsive in the road in the 800 block of West Division Street. Around 10:10 PM on June 8, 2024, the Kewanee Police Department responded to. Call for a welfare check and found an unresponsive male, who was pronounced deceased at the scene. There is no threat to the public and is believed to be an isolated incident. The Illinois State Police and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the death investigation.
