Diabetes impacts 13% of residents in Bureau, Marshall, and Putnam Counties, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. To help address this, Illinois Extension and OSF HealthCare Saint Clare Medical Center will offer a four-part educational series focused on diabetes prevention and management. Sessions run on Wednesdays—October 22, 29, and November 5 and 12—from 9:30 a.m. to noon at OSF Saint Clare Medical Center in Princeton. Topics include meal planning, reading food labels, and cooking demonstrations. Registration is $15 and includes samples and recipes.
