Heather Frykman, Elegant Ms. Illinois Imperial Nations, is hosting a Doggy Costume Contest for her charity People Bonding With Animals – Joy at the Kewanee’s Enchanted Pumpkin Festival, adding heart this year with the return of the beloved Doggy Costume Contest and a touching new feature: the Rainbow Bridge Memorial Wall. Pet owners are invited to bring their pups in costume and sign the wall in remembrance of pets who have crossed over. The contest includes a $20 donation, with registration from 11:30 to 12:30 and the main event at 1 PM. Special recognition goes to the Illinois Department of Corrections Kewanee Life Skills Reentry Center for crafting the imaginative backdrops.
