The Henry County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on the investigation and identification of the human remains found in Timbers, going north on Kent Street towards Whispering Pines. Captain Ben Franklin said Henry County investigators and the Illinois State Police processed the scene and the surrounding area. Captain Ben Franklin said, “All identification efforts are being conducted.” Details may be infrequent, so please be patient.
On March 10th, a family discovered the remains while walking in the field near the brush. The Kewanee Police Department took the initial call and transferred the incident to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
