In an exciting development for local agriculture, Emmalee Kilstrom of Kewanee has been awarded a significant grant to bolster her ambitious Supervised Agricultural Experience project. Named ‘Emmalee’s Evergreens’, her initiative caught the attention of Farm Credit, leading to a $1,000 grant to propel her plans forward. Out of a competitive pool of 1,238 applicants nationwide, Emmalee stood out as a dedicated member of the Kewanee FFA Chapter. This grant is part of a broader effort to support FFA members as they build projects that are crucial for their future careers in agriculture. Emmalee’s project promises to bring new vitality and innovation to local farming practices.
