In an exciting development for local agriculture, Emmalee Kilstrom of Kewanee has been awarded a significant grant to bolster her ambitious Supervised Agricultural Experience project. Named ‘Emmalee’s Evergreens’, her initiative caught the attention of Farm Credit, leading to a $1,000 grant to propel her plans forward. Out of a competitive pool of 1,238 applicants nationwide, Emmalee stood out as a dedicated member of the Kewanee FFA Chapter. This grant is part of a broader effort to support FFA members as they build projects that are crucial for their future careers in agriculture.
