The State Bank of Toulon is promoting education through its annual Essay Contest, offering scholarships to support local students. Up to four years of higher education will be funded, with eleven first-place awards of $1,000 each and twelve second-place awards of $500. For local participants, additional scholarships of $750, $500, and $250 will be awarded to the top three finalists, respectively. Interested students have until February 24th to submit their essays at any of the three bank branches, Kewanee, Galva, and Toulon, or local schools.
