The Illinois State Fair returns to Springfield from August 7th to 17th, promising a lineup of attractions for all ages. Visitors can enjoy daily circus performances, themed days, and a brand-new pickleball tournament. Evening concerts will be offered without charge, featuring a variety of musical acts. Families will benefit from daily discounts on admission, and certain groups can take advantage of free entry on specific dates. Organizers hope the combination of entertainment, savings, and new events will draw record crowds, making this year’s fair a memorable experience for both longtime attendees and newcomers alike.
“Under Governor Pritzker’s leadership, the Illinois State Fair has flourished financially, allowing us to provide diverse entertainment options free of charge,” said Jerry Costello II, Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture. “Our goal is to ensure the Fair remains accessible to everyone, and we’re committed to keeping it affordable.”
“We love celebrating all the unique experiences the Illinois State Fair has to offer with our theme days,” said Illinois State Fair Manager Rebecca Clark. “Each year, we look for ways to make the fair fun, affordable, and easy for families to enjoy—while helping them learn more about agriculture, which is the number one industry here in Illinois.”
