The Friends of Woodland Palace invite the community to experience local history during their Fall Open House at Francis Park in rural Kewanee on October 25th. From 10 AM to 2 PM, visitors can join guided tours of the storied Francis home, gaining insight into the life and legacy of its creator. Attendees will have an opportunity to support ongoing preservation efforts through donations and by purchasing the book “Fred Francis—A Prairie Genius,” available on site. All proceeds from the event directly contribute to maintaining this historic landmark. The open house promises a unique look into regional heritage while helping secure the future of Francis Park for generations to come
