Woodland Palace in rural Kewanee is welcoming visitors for special tours on July 4th from 10 AM to 3 PM. The historic home, once belonging to artist and inventor Fredrick Francis, will showcase both its unique architecture and rich history. As part of the day’s festivities, author Larry Kuster will be available for a book signing, offering an opportunity to connect with local literature. Organizers say the tours and book signing are part of ongoing efforts to restore and preserve the iconic house. Those attending are invited to make goodwill donations to the Kewanee Preservation Society, which will help fund future restoration projects at Francis Park.
