Family and Friends Ask Kewanee Residents to Check Security Footage in Search for Missing Catrelle Reed

Family and friends of missing Catrelle Reed are urging residents in the Kewanee area to review their security footage from early Friday, May 23rd, between 4:45 and 8 AM. The focus is on the neighborhoods near Catrelle’s residence, including Zang Avenue, Southwest Street, Rice Street, and Rose Street, as well as routes from Kewanee to Annawan and Cambridge to Kewanee. Anyone who spots suspicious activity or suspicious persons or notices Catrelle Reed on their recordings is encouraged to contact local law enforcement. You can find updates on a Facebook page created for the search for Catrelle Reed. You can contact Catrelle’s family on the Facebook page, but stay tuned for additional contact information soon.

The Kewanee Police Department continues to search for a missing Kewanee man, Catrelle Reed. The last known contact with Reed was on May 22, 2025, around 2 PM. He was scheduled to work at Ford & Sons in Geneseo on Friday, May 23, 2025. Reed is a shorter Black male with a stocky build, known for distinctive tattoos: a rose on his hand, wings on his neck, and several on his arms and upper body. He has short black hair, brown eyes, and typically wears glasses, though they were found by his house. Reed may have been wearing brown bootsblue jeans, a high-visibility vest, a black shirt, and a stocking hat. Anyone with information is urged to contact Kewanee Police at 309-853-1911 or call 911.
