FEMA Disaster Recovery Center Opens in Rural Kewanee on October 2, 2024

SHARE NOW

A new FEMA and State Disaster Recovery Center is set to open in Kewanee to assist residents affected by the severe storms in July. Located at the Henry County Office of Emergency Management (OEM), the center will provide federal disaster assistance, document upload services, and property reinforcement tips. It starts operations on October 2, 2024, and will be open daily from 8 AM to 7 PM.

Henry County OEM is located at 4424 Walter Payton Memorial Highway, south of Kewanee on Highway 34/78.

You are not required to visit a Disaster Recovery Center to apply for FEMA assistance. To apply without visiting a center, visit DisasterAssistance.gov, download the FEMA mobile app, or call the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362. If you use a relay service such as video relay telephone service, or others, give FEMA your number for that service when you apply.
