In the aftermath of the severe storms that swept through Illinois from July 13th to 16th, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has stepped in to aid affected residents. Over $1.5 million has been approved to assist more than 300 households. The allocated funds include approximately $987,000 dedicated to housing assistance, with an additional $560,000 earmarked for other disaster-related expenses. Residents from the impacted counties are encouraged to apply for this critical aid to help them recover from the significant damages inflicted by the storms. Those who haven’t applied yet are urged to do so to benefit from the available assistance. More than 750 home inspections have been completed in the affected areas.
