Former Henry County Jail Administrator Charged with Dissemination of a Sexual Image

The former administrator of the Henry County Jail has been charged with four counts of nonconsensual dissemination of a sex image following an investigation into allegations of off-duty misconduct in January. The information was uploaded to Judici Thursday afternoon, and a First Appearance has been scheduled for May 20, 2024, at 1 PM. Jerrico Lessard resigned from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office on January 23rd after a complaint for off-duty misconduct was received on January 7th.  The Henry County Sheriff’s Office conducted an internal investigation and requested that the Illinois State Police conduct an independent investigation.

Jerrico J.C. Lessard is charged with four counts of Nonconsensual Dissemination of a Sexual Image (Class 4 Felony). A person commits the act of nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images when:

1) intentionally disseminates an image of another person who is

  • a) at least 18 years of age
  • b) is identifiable from the image itself or information is displayed in connection with the image and
  • c) is engaged in a sexual act or whose intimate parts are exposed, in whole or in part and

2) obtains the image under circumstances in which a reasonable person would know or understand that the image was to remain private and

3) knows or should have known that the person in the image has not consented to the dissemination.
