Spring brings the beginning of the tourist season to Bishop Hill. The Bishop Hill Creative Commons is hosting the fourth annual Bishop Hill Book Fair on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 11 AM to 4 PM.  Aspiring authors can meet local authors and talk with them about their work in a variety of genres. Books will be available for purchase, so you can collect autographs from your favorite authors.  This free event is hosted by Brian “Fox” Ellis of Fox Tales.

Bishop Hill Creative Commons is located at 309 North Bishop Hill Road. You will find books from all genres, such as children’s, folklore, young adult novels, romance, mystery, biography, and history.  There will be 16 local authors represented at the book fair, including Brian “Fox” Ellis, Jannifer Powelson, Amanda McNeill, Carol Paur, Dan Moore, Dave Lager, Debra Borys, Hollye Cox, Connor McManis, Jackie Lawson, Mary Davidsaver, Mike Bayles, Misty Urban, Nadine Roth, Thomas McKay, and Sam Rice.

The book fair is during Bishop Hill’s Spring Jubilee, so you can enjoy special sales, a flea market, a lecture on Native American Women’s history, and many concerts at the Commons on Saturday evening.

For more information, contact Brian “Fox” Ellis at 309-696-1017 or [email protected].
