The freshman boys basketball team wrapped up the Fresh-Soph Warkins Tournament with a 1-2 record. Opening play, they faced a tough Riverdale sophomore squad, falling 48-25 despite a nine-point effort from Dane Vandevelde. In their second game, the Boilers bounced back, defeating EP’s freshman team 48-25, led by Vandevelde’s 19 points. The tournament closed with a rematch against EP’s sophomores, where the Boilers narrowly lost 42-36. Malaki Rodriguez set a season high with 13 points in that final clash. The Boilers now stand at 4-3 as they prepare to take on Bureau Valley on December 9th.
