The freshman boys’ basketball team opened its season with a decisive 50-25 victory over Rock Falls. Every player on the 15-man roster saw court time, celebrating their first moments in a Boilermaker uniform. The team surged ahead early, shutting out Rock Falls 16-0 in the first quarter, though they battled scoring difficulties in the second, entering halftime ahead 19-6. Momentum picked up in the third quarter, highlighted by Abe Diaz’s 8 points, and continued with Easton Blake sinking two three-pointers in the fourth.
