In an inspiring community effort, residents of Kewanee are rallying to support Bernard David, who is currently battling stage 2 prostate cancer. Bernard will need to miss a lot of work for treatments and appointments and incur medical bills as well. A special benefit event is set to take place on February 1, 2025, at Guppy’s Lake. Attendees can look forward to an array of activities, including live music and food stands. Highlighting the event, there will be both silent and live auctions, featuring an assortment of baked goods. All proceeds from the event will aid Bernard in his treatment journey. For those interested in extending further support, t-shirts are available for purchase at $20 each, with payment due by January 25th.
