In Aurora, the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office, working with the US Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, arrested Tomure D. Adams, 50, on December 4, 2024. Adams was wanted in LaSalle County for offenses including being a Child Sex Offender in a School Zone and Unlawful Loitering Within a School Zone. Following an investigation of a suspicious vehicle report at Ransom Grade School, Adams was determined to have been on school grounds, but there is no indication he made contact with any students. Adams left the scene before the arrival of deputies and was later arrested and is currently held without bond at LaSalle County Jail.
