MCDONOUGH COUNTY, IL – A Galesburg man was arrested late Friday evening after being pulled over by a McDonough County Sheriff’s Deputy on US Highway 67 at North 2300th Road.
According to reports, the red Honda Civic was travelling north and the driver, Nicholas R. Degracia, 34, was driving with a suspended license.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies discovered a small plastic bag containing a white powder, which tested positive for cocaine. Deputies collected approximately 20 grams suspected cocaine from a cup near the drivers console of the vehicle.
Degracia was transported to the McDonough County Jail and lodged pending a bond hearing. Degracia was charged with driving on a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance.
