The Galesburg Police Department will host the 2024 National Night Out on August 6, 2024, in Standish Park. This annual event fosters police-community partnerships to enhance neighborhood safety. The event will feature interactions with local law enforcement, healthcare representatives, and various community agencies from 5 to 7 PM. Tompkins Street will be closed between South Cedar Street and South Broad Street during the event.
“2024 National Night Out allows us to bring police and neighbors together in a positive setting and help create a true sense of community,” said Police Chief, Russ Idle.
Beyond Police and Fire representatives, including a K9 demo, residents can expect to interact with representatives from Bridgeway, United Way, Head Start, OSF Healthcare, and Regional Office of Education #33, among many other community service agencies and area businesses.
