A shooting in Galesburg has left one man dead, and the police are asking for the public’s help. Galesburg Police responded to a shooting at 1435 Moshier Avenue on Saturday, August 17th, around 8:30 PM. Heath D. Williams Sr. was found with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided life-saving measures until he was transported to St. Mary Medical Center, where he later died. The Galesburg Police Department is currently investigating this case with the assistance of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police, and the Knox County State’s Attorney’s Office.
