The Galva Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Galva have announced a new date for the Ol’ Fashioned Christmas celebration: Saturday, December 6, 2025. Attendees can look forward to a festive lineup including the lighted parade, lighting of Veterans Park, kids’ crafts, a festival of wreaths, and a chili and soup luncheon. Free pony rides will delight younger visitors, while a lighted parade and Santa Claus appearances promise to add extra holiday cheer. Downtown shops are joining in the spirit by extending their hours and offering complimentary refreshments throughout the day. Organizers encourage everyone to mark their calendars for this highly anticipated community event. Galva Mayor Rich Volkert joined Wake Up Tri-Counties and asked residents and visitors to support the Ol’ Fashioned Christmas on Saturday.

Those planning to attend are encouraged to keep an eye on the Galva Chamber of Commerce’s official Facebook page and on the city’s website at www.galvail.gov for the latest information and updates on event timing and activities.
