January 12
While patrolling, officer noticed that all of the Galva railroad crossing gates were down and activated with no trains present. BNSF was contacted and after an extended time, they were reset.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to discuss an impounded vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a subject having phone issues.
Officer was dispatched to a 9-1-1 call that plotted moving through town on Route 34. It was determined to be a pocket dial from a delivery driver. The driver denied needing emergency services.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7 th Street to remove an unwanted subject. It was determined to be a civil issue between a landlord and tenant.
January 13
While patrolling, officer noticed an occupied vehicle in the roadway in the 800 block of NW 6 th Street. The vehicle was losing motor oil. A tow truck was contacted and removed the vehicle.
Officer met a subject at the Galva PD to register them as a violent offender against youth. The form was completed and emailed to Henry Co for LEADS entry.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 2 nd Street for a domestic disturbance.
January 14
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7 th Street for a telephone harassment complaint.
January 15
Officer found a debit card in the 200 block of SW 2 nd Ave. The card owner was contacted and the card was returned to them.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NW 6 th Ave to assist Stark Co Medic with a medical emergency.
January 16
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 5 th Street for a theft complaint. It was determined to be a civil matter.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NE 4 th Street for a civil standby to retrieve property.
January 17
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 3 rd Street to assist a citizen with gaining entry into their residence after the owner heard noises. Officer gained entry and found broken water pipes flooding the house. The water service was shut off until repairs could be completed.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7 th Street for a domestic disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 7 th Street for a loose dog complaint.
January 18
As the result of a traffic stop in the 400 block of NW 4 th Ave, Phillip Muckey, 31, Galesburg, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
While patrolling, officer noticed a train had stopped and was blocking several Galva railroad crossings. BNSF was contacted and the train eventually moved along.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of South Center Ave, Patricia Brudnicki, 32, Galesburg, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released with a required court date.
Officer, along with several area fire departments, were dispatched to Bonham Road just west of town for a structure fire.
