March 31
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 6 th Ave to remove unwanted subjects. Officer determined that the complainant was suffering a mental health crisis.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE 2 nd Street, Susan Lopez, 37, Kewanee, was arrested for driving while license revoked, operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance, and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was taken to the Galva PD for processing and released with a required court date.
Officer met with a subject in the front lobby at the Galva PD in reference to questions about an ongoing child custody dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 4 th Street for a city ordinance violation involving burning on a non-burn day. The subject put the fire out.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 6 th Ave to remove unwanted subjects. Officer determined that the complainant was suffering a mental health crisis.

April 1
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a disturbance. The resident was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2 nd Street to remove an unwanted subject. The subject was advised to leave the premises.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a disturbance. The resident was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the north edge of town to remove tree branches that apparently fell from a passing vehicle. They were removed.

Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SW 2 nd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a medical call. Stark Co Medic was paged to handle.

April 2
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of West Division Street for a complaint of a young child that was wandering around unsupervised. A guardian was located in the 100 block of NW 8 th Ave. The child was returned.
Officer was dispatched to the SE corner of Wiley Park for a verbal disturbance involving several subjects.

April 3
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2 nd Street for a loose dog complaint. The dog was taken to impound.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of SE 2 nd Street, Misty Scott, 36, Cambridge, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance. She was released with a required court date.
As the result of a follow up investigation to a complaint last week, a 15 year old Galva resident was issued a juvenile referral for reckless conduct after reportedly spraying another subject with pepper spray.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 600 block of SE 2 nd Street, Jeffrey Andrews, 57, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Street for an out-of-control juvenile complaint.

April 4
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2 nd Street for a child custody dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a disturbance. The resident was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for a disturbance complaint. The subject was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the north edge of town to watch for a reckless driver heading towards Galva. Officer was not able to locate.

April 5
As the result of a traffic stop in the 00 block of NE 8 th Ave, Sarah Martin, 25, Orlando, FL, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was flagged down in reference to a criminal damage to residence complaint after a resident found their house had been “egged” on Swank Street.

April 6
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a disturbance. The resident was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 5 th Street for a disturbance complaint. Officer located the suspects, who then fled south of Galva and led officer on a high-speed pursuit. Officer terminated for safety reasons. The vehicle was later located and abandoned near Victoria. Galva PD had the suspect vehicle towed.
Officer assisted Knox Co with a single vehicle car vs deer accident south of town. The deer had to be dispatched and a crash report was completed.
