May 12
Officer was dispatched to the NE 6 th Ave railroad tracks for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street to follow up on a theft complaint.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 00 block of SW 2 nd Street, Drexel Miller, 24, New Windsor, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance, operating an uninsured vehicle and having expired registration. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of North Center Ave for a two vehicle accident with damage only. A crash report was completed.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 1 st Street to recover a large bag of hypodermic needles that were found in a yard there. They were taken for disposal.
Officer was dispatched to the Chester Street railroad crossing for a complaint of a large box that had fallen from a vehicle. Officer was not able to locate.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 4 th Street for a trash dumping complaint. The offender agreed to clean up the mess and was educated on how trash pickup occurs.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of North Center Ave for a loose dog complaint. The dog was impounded and later picked up by it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1 st Street for an aggressive and loose dog complaint. As the result, Linda Yelm, 51, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for allowing a dog to run at large.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SE 6 th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Ave for a disorderly conduct complaint. As the result, Robert Heck, 56, Galva, was arrested for disorderly conduct and harassment through electronic communications. He was released with a required court date.

May 13
Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of NW 3 rd Ave for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 2 nd Street for a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 9 th Street for a verbal domestic disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 6 th Street for a possible violation of an order of protection complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 9 th Street to assist a citizen with civil questions.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 7 th Street for a loud music complaint.

May 14
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7 th Ave to remove an unwanted subject. As the result, Brett Harlan, 41, Galva, was arrested on two Knox County warrants for failing to appear on charges of possession of meth, DUI-drugs, failing to reduce speed to avoid accident, no insurance, and no seat belt. He was taken to the Henry Co Jail.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NW 1 st Ave for a utility wire that was down in the roadway. Frontier Communications was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of West Division Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was a mis dial.

May 15
Officer was dispatched to remove an unwanted subject in the 00 block of NW 2 nd Street. The offender was served with a written banning notice.
Officer met with a registered sex offender that wanted to update their registration as they are moving out-of-state.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 9 th Ave for a disabled vehicle complaint. The vehicle was able to drive away.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 3 rd Ave for a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of East Division Street for an open door complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SE 2 nd Street in reference to a safety concern.

May 16
As the result of an investigation into an incident last week, Justin Bicknell, 36, Moline, was arrested on a Henry Co warrant for assault. He was transported to the Henry Co Jail.
Officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of SE 2 nd Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. Officer determined it was a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2 nd Street for a gas drive off complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 6 th Street for a property line dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 6 th Ave for a fire. It was a small fire that was quickly put out.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Ave for a civil stand by.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 8 th Street for a disorderly conduct complaint.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of SE 1 st Street, Samuel Abdelkoui, 64, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured vehicle, and having an expired drivers license. He was released with a required court date.
After several traffic complaints involving a reckless driver in various areas in Galva, a traffic stop was conducted in the 300 block of Commercial Street, Patrick Hammons, 69, Galva, was issued citations for improper use of registration and operating an uninsured vehicle.

May 17
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of East Division Street for a verbal domestic disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the intersection of SE 8 th Ave and SE 1 st Street for a utility wire down across the roadway.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NE 1 st Street for a complaint involving pieces of wood with nails in it in the roadway.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 4 th Street for a lost or stolen wallet complaint. The complainant ultimately found the wallet inside the house later.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 5 th Street for a criminal damage to property complaint.
Officer was dispatched to Route 34 west of town to remove furniture from the roadway.

May 18

As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of West Division Street, Arturo Montenegro, 59, Galesburg, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Front Street for a civil stand by to retrieve property.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2 nd Street for an activated burglar alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
