While patrolling, officer noticed most of the Galva railroad crossing arms were going up and down and no trains were present. BNSF was contacted and officer directed traffic a few times to assist motorists with their travels.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 6 th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
While patrolling, officer located a loose dog in the 100 block of NW 8 th Ave. It was scanned for a microchip and returned to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 6 th Street for a suspicious vehicle complaint. Officer
located the vehicle. The complaint was unfounded.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of East Division Street for a loose dog complaint. The dogs were returned to their owner.
Officer was dispatched to Route 17 south of Galva for a loose dog complaint. The dog was scanned for a microchip and returned to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4 th Street to assist a citizen that appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
May 27
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4 th Street to assist a citizen who appeared to be having a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to Galva City Hall to conduct a background check on a subject requesting a solicitor’s permit.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 2 nd Ave to conduct a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer was notified that a vehicle repossession was taking place in the 400 block of SE 7 th Ave.
Officer was dispatched several more times to the 700 block of NW 4 th Street to assist a citizen.
May 28
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Street for a loose and aggressive dog complaint. Officer was not able to locate any dogs in the area.
Officer was dispatched NW of Galva to assist Henry Co with livestock that was running loose in the roadway.
Officer was notified about a vehicle repossession that was taking place in the 100 block of NE 7 th Street.
May 29
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SW 2 nd Street for an animal neglect complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Street to assist a citizen.
Officer was dispatched several times to the 700 block of NW 4 th Street to assist a citizen who was believed to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 9 th Street for a complaint involving a verbal domestic disturbance. As the result, Heather St Clair, 29, Kewanee, was arrested for theft under $500. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the intersection of SW 4 th Ave and SW 4 th Street to assist a motorist who lost a wheel.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NW 4 th Ave for a juvenile complaint involving revving engines and reckless driving.
Officer checked on an unoccupied vehicle in the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street.
May 30
As the result of a traffic stop in the 400 block of South Center Ave, Joel Garcia, 23, Monmouth, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Street to check the welfare of a subject that appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 1 st Ave for a barking dog complaint.
May 31
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Street to assist a citizen who appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1 st Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to assist Henry Co with two loose dogs east of town that appeared to have been dumped. Officer was not able to locate.
Officer was dispatched to check a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of SE 6 th Street. Officer spoke to the occupant, who was just enjoying the weather.
Officer was dispatched to the area of the Galva High School for a possible crash, which was detected through an I-phone. It was a false alarm.

Officer was dispatched to the Galva Park District late at night for an unattended fire. It was extinguished.
June 1
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4 th Street to assist a citizen that appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the east edge of town to check on a suspicious vehicle. The occupants had permission to be there.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 1 st Street for a loose dog complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of West Division Street for an illegal dumping complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of North Center Ave for a domestic disturbance.
