June 9
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 7 th Ave in reference to recovered property.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2 nd Street to recover a cell phone that had been found. It was later returned to it’s owner, who lived out-of-state.
June 10
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SE 4 th Ave for an ongoing property line dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of North Exchange Street for a 9-1-1 hang-up call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
As the result of a traffic stop near the intersection of Commercial St and Wiley Street, Paul Story, 74, Williamsfield, was arrested for improper use of registration, operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Street to assist a resident who appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
June 11
Officer spoke to a resident in the 100 block of NW 8 th Ave about a city ordinance violation involving too many pets.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 1 st Ave for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was determined to be an accidental dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 4 th Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1 st Ave for a child custody exchange.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1100 block of SE 2 nd Street, Jamichael Hardeman, 38, Bradford, was arrested for driving while license suspended and speeding 65 in a 45mph zone. He was released with a required court date.
June 12
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NE 6 th Street for a complaint involving domestic battery. The complaint was unfounded.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Street to assist a citizen who appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 400 block of West Division Street, Dane Dearing, 25, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 2 nd Street for a child custody complaint.
While patrolling, officer located a vehicle with an open door in the 400 block of East Division Street. The door was shut and secured.
June 13
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 4 th Ave to remove an unwanted subject that was causing a disturbance. The subject was removed.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of North Center Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. Officer was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
Officer was dispatched to the Galva Park District to recover a debit card that had been found. It was returned to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of NW 7 th Ave for a civil stand by to retrieve property.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2 nd Street for a possible violation of an order of protection.
While patrolling, officer located an abandoned vehicle near the intersection of East Division Street and NE 2 nd Ave.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SW 2 nd Street for a loose dog complaint. The dog was impounded and later returned to it’s owner.
June 14
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Ave for a property line dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SE 2 nd Street to assist a motorist with a disabled vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Street to assist a citizen who appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the downtown area for a fireworks complaint. Officer was not able to locate the source.
