Officer spoke to an adult subject by telephone in reference to a complaint of “revenge porn” that had been distributed. The subject decided not to follow through with filing a formal report.
Officer assisted an ambulance with a medical emergency in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. The subject was suffering from a mental health crisis.
September 3
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 4th Street for a utility wire that had been pulled down. It was determined to be a telephone wire. Frontier was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a civil standby to retrieve property.
Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD to discuss options after a family member was arrested for domestic battery late last week.
Officer was notified of a high speed vehicle pursuit that was S/B on County Highway 5 from Atkinson. The suspect vehicle ultimately turned E/B onto Route 81 and went towards Kewanee.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 6th Ave for a loose dog complaint. Officer was not able to locate.

Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of West Division Street for a burglary complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the intersection of Front Street and Chester Street for a two vehicle accident with damage only. A crash report was completed.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for a complaint involving a subject screaming for help. The subject was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 1st Street for a suicidal subject that took a handful of pills and then left on foot. The subject was located and taken by ambulance for treatment / evaluation.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SE 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was
determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a suspicious vehicle complaint. Officer did not find anything suspicious about the vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 9th Street for a solicitor complaint. Officer was not able to locate anyone.
September 5
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NW 4th Ave for a single vehicle accident with damage only. A report was taken.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4th Street for a theft complaint. This report was unfounded.
Officer met with a citizen to turn over their FOID card after they received a suspension letter. The FOID card was surrendered.
Officer was dispatched to a neighbor dispute in the 600 block of NW 5th Ave.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 2nd Ave for a scam complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4th Ave for a parking complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3rd Ave for a domestic dispute involving an out-of-control juvenile.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 2nd Street for a juvenile complaint involving harassment.

Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Exchange Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be an accidental dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 5th Ave for a neighbor dispute / harassment complaint.
Officer was again dispatched to a neighbor dispute in the 600 block of NW 5th Ave.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 7th Ave for a suicidal subject that took a handful of pills. The subject was taken by ambulance for evaluation / treatment.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Exchange Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 4th Ave for a complaint involving a theft from a motor vehicle.
September 7
Officer was dispatched to assist Henry Co with a vehicle pursuit that ended up going north and west of Galva. An officer from the Woodhull PD ultimately deployed stop sticks and ended the pursuit with several arrests after a short foot pursuit.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2nd Street for a verbal disturbance. The offender was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to assist a motorist on Route 34 just east of town. The subject had ran out of gas. Officer transported the subject to buy a small can and a small amount of fuel.
Officer was notified about a water service leak in the 200 block of NW 2nd Ave. A Galva Water Dept employee was contacted to turn water off.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 2nd Street for an illegal burning complaint. The fire was put out.
September 8
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 1st Ave for a civil property dispute.
Officer was flagged down and given an Illinois license plate that had been found in the 00 block of SW 2nd Street. Officer returned the plate to it’s rightful owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of Swank Street for a loose dog complaint. The dog was
impounded and later returned to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street to remove an unwanted subject.
Officer was dispatched to the area of NW 3rd Ave and NW 3rd Street for a wild animal complaint involving a small fox. Officer was not able to locate.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of South Exchange Street for a two vehicle accident with damage only. A crash report was completed.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for an illegal burning complaint. The fire was extinguished.
