August 11
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 9 th Ave for a disturbance after a neighbor heard yelling.
Officer located two adult subjects having a disagreement. They denied needing police service.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a complaint involving theft from a motor vehicle. Video footage was reviewed and this report was considered unfounded.
Officer was dispatched to a damage to property complaint regarding a vehicle driving without a wheel.
Officer located the suspect vehicle in the 100 block of NW 6 th Ave. No damage was noted to the roadway.
Officer went to the 600 block of NW 1 st Street to speak to a resident about a city ordinance violation involving the lack of building permits. The subject was referred to city hall.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 3 rd Ave for a child custody dispute.
August 12
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to register as a sex offender. The form was completed and it was emailed to Henry Co for LEADS entry.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7 th Ave for a domestic disturbance. As the result, Trevar Johnson, 19, Galva, was arrested for domestic battery. He was taken to the Henry Co Jail.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 4 th Street to assist a citizen with a civil matter.
Officer was requested by Kewanee PD to check a few Galva addresses for a suspect in a domestic battery that occurred there. The subject was located and arrested in Kewanee.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3 rd Street for a domestic disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3 rd Street for a civil standby to retrieve property.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of NE 1 st Street, Colyn Glisan, 29, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Ave for a loose dog complaint. The dog was impounded and later returned to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3 rd Street for a harassment complaint.
August 13
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3 rd Street for a battery complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3 rd Street for another battery complaint.
Officer met with a subject that has been registered in Galva as a violent offender against youth. The subject notified us that he is moving to Cambridge. He was referred to the Sheriff’s Office to register there.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NE 9 th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3 rd Street to assist a citizen with answering questions.

August 14
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NE 9 th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7 th Ave to assist a citizen.
August 15
Officer was dispatched to assist Henry Co with an unruly student on a school bus east of town on Route 34. The juvenile was removed and taken home.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 3 rd Street after a complaint of young children home alone. A parent was contacted and forgot that school dismissed early. An adult came over and took custody of the children.
Officer was dispatched to ta residence on NW 7 th Ave to attempt to locate a suicidal subject. The subject was not located.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a parking complaint.
Officer was dispatched to Wiley Park for a complaint involving juveniles hanging on the new hoops on the basketball court. The juveniles were spoken to.
August 16
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 5 th Street for a burglary and theft complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street for a child custody dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 3 rd Ave for a theft complaint.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to update their annual sex offender registration. We were notified they were moving into rural Galva and were referred to the Henry Co Sheriff’s Office for registration in their jurisdiction.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of SE 1 st Ave, Alexis Purdy, 22, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3 rd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be young children playing with a parent’s phone.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 5 th Street for a possible domestic battery complaint. DCFS was contacted.
Officer was dispatched to the south edge of Galva to watch for a reckless driver coming towards Galva. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was initiated. As the result, Nicholas Lane, 36, Kewanee, was issued citations for improper lane usage and operating an uninsured vehicle. Henry Co assisted and ultimately arrested Nicholas for DUI-alcohol as well.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 2 nd Street for an out-of-control juvenile complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the west edge of town for a traffic complaint.
August 17
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NE 1 st Street for a complaint of a confused motorist. After investigation, Jason Luedee, 51, Galva, was arrested for DUI-alcohol, DUI with a bac over .08%. He was taken to the Galva PD for processing and later released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4 th Ave for a complaint involving an elderly subject that wandered away from home and hadn’t returned. The subject was located at Wiley Park.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of North Center Ave, Michael Gustafson, 56, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of North Center Ave for a domestic disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 8 th Ave for a domestic disturbance. Officer stood by while a subject gathered some belongings.
