September 30
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 2 nd Street for a loose dog complaint. Officer was not able to locate it.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 3 rd Street for a loose dog complaint. Officer was able to contact an owner, who was able to put it back inside residence.
Officer assisted the ambulance on NW 6 th Street with a subject that fell against a door, which made it difficult to access him. Officer was able to remove the door and gain access.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 7 th Street to view messages on a cellular device that were received and mentioned suicidal thoughts. The juvenile offender was located in Kewanee and taken by ambulance for treatment / evaluation.
Officer, along with the fire department, were dispatched to City Hall for an activated fire alarm after hours. It was a false alarm.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 8 th Ave for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SE 3 rd Ave for a loud music complaint. Officer located the suspect vehicle, but nobody was around it.

October 1
Officer was dispatched to multiple complaints in the SW part of town about a female screaming and walking around the area. Officer located the subject. She appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the area around Wiley Park for a welfare check and a loose dog belonging to same residence. Officer located the resident, who was looking for his lost dog.
Officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of SE 2 nd Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. Employee accidentally made a pocket dial call.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NE 9 th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. Officer checked the area, but was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 5 th Ave for a suspicious vehicle complaint. Officer was not able to locate it.
Officer spoke to a subject about a possible violation of an order of protection.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 3 rd Street for a suspicious incident where a juvenile knocked on the door and then ran away. Officer did not locate anyone in area.

October 2
Officer was dispatched to attempt to locate a juvenile that left home on a bicycle after being sent home
from school. Officer located the juvenile in the downtown and followed him home to a waiting parent.
Officer was dispatched to the Exchange Street railroad crossing for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer assisted the Henry Co Housing Authority with locating and serving banning letters to three Galva residents.
Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD to update their yearly sex offender registration. A copy was emailed to Henry Co for LEADS entry.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on Front Street for a welfare check.
Officer was dispatched to a few residences after school aged kids threw toilet paper into their trees as part of homecoming week. No enforcement action was taken.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 3 rd Street for a domestic disturbance involving a juvenile.

October 3
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 4 th Street for a suicidal subject that had realized they had been scammed. The subject was transported by ambulance for evaluation / treatment.
Officer met with IL DCFS at the Galva PD to provide recent reports in reference to several recent events.
Officer was dispatched to Hayes Road just west of town for a subject acting irrationally. The subject appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis. A family member came out and took the subject back home.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of SW 4 th Street for a battery complaint. This remains under investigation.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was a confirmed mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SW 4 th Street for a juvenile mischief complaint. Several subjects were found to be throwing toilet paper. No enforcement action was taken.

October 4
Officer was dispatched to the Chester Street railroad crossing for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 7 th Ave for a loose dog complaint. Owner was spoken to and warned about the Illinois leash law.
Officer provided traffic control during the homecoming parade.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 7 th Ave for a complaint involving a juvenile possessing a vaping device.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Morgan Road for a 2 vehicle accident with damage only. As the result, Timothy Meier, 58, Galva, was issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle.
While patrolling, officer located a disabled vehicle with a flat tire on Main Street near Exchange Street. Officer assisted with changing the tire.

October 5
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 2 nd Ave for a forgery complaint. It was determined to be a civil matter.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 5 th Street for a reckless driving complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the Chester Street railroad crossing for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of Morgan Road for a disturbance complaint. This complaint stemmed from a driving complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 2000 block of 1950 East for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of County Highway 5 for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was determined to be a two vehicle accident with air bag deployment. Henry Co handled a crash report.

October 6
Officer was dispatched to the Chester Street railroad crossing for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NE 3 rd Street for a report that an 8 year old had attempted suicide by cutting their throat with a box cutter.

Makayla Alldredge, 26, Galva, was issued citations for operating an uninsured vehicle and not having valid registration.
