October 28
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 4 th Street for a reckless driving complaint. Officer was not able to locate the suspect vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of SE 1 st Street for a complaint involving tree limbs hanging on utility wires.
October 29
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 6 th Ave for a loose dog complaint. The owner was able to locate and take dog back home.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street, Leah Middleton, 24, Galesburg, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance violation. She was released with a required court date.
While patrolling, officer noticed a crossing arm malfunction at the Chester Street railroad crossing. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of NE 1 st Street, Alexis Haga, 26, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. She was released with a required court date.
Officer, along with the fire department, were dispatched to Bonham Road and 1850 East, for a fully engulfed ATV that had caught a picked bean field on fire.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 4 th Street to assist a motorist with a flat tire.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street, Audri Roberts, 21, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2 nd Street to collect an Illinois driver’s license that had been found. The license was determined to be suspended. It was mailed back to the IL Secretary of State’s Office.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of SE 2 nd Street for utility wires laying on tree limbs. Mediacom was notified for repairs.
October 30
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NW 7 th Ave for an activated medical pendant alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
Officer was dispatched to a 9-1-1 open line call that plotted in the 800 block of SW 4 th Street. Officer responded and saw a large tree had fallen across the roadway. The Galva Street Dept was able to remove it with chainsaws and a backhoe.
Officer initiated a traffic stop in the 1000 block of SE 2 nd Street after a vehicle was located with a possible stolen license plate. After investigating, it was determined to be a stolen front plate and this vehicle was missing the front plate. The driver was released with no charges.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of Market Street, Bailey Yelm, 33, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to Wiley Park for a complaint involving an out-of-control juvenile acting out and a parent trying to restrain them. The juvenile was taken by ambulance for treatment.
October 31
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 3 rd Ave for a criminal damage to property complaint in reference to a cell phone being broken.
Officer was dispatched to the Chester Street railroad crossing for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the east edge of town for a reckless driving complaint. Officer located the suspect vehicle but did not observe any violations.
November 1
Officer was dispatched to assist a citizen in the 200 block of SE 1 st Street.
Officer was dispatched to Wiley Park for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SW 2 nd Street for a civil complaint involving non-payment for work that was performed.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 9 th Ave for a loose dog complaint. Officer was not able to locate it.
Officer was dispatched to a large burn pile on Route 34 near the Bishop Hill Road. It was a controlled burn that had not been called in.
Officer was dispatched to Wiley Park for a loose dog complaint. The dog was impounded and later released to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 1 st Street for a suspicious activity complaint.
November 2
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 6 th Ave for a physical altercation. This case is under review.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of Front Street, Bailey Yelm, 33, Galva was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 5 th Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to Sentry Estates to assist a citizen whose cat had climbed a tree and appeared stuck. The officer was able to get the cat back down.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3 rd Ave for a complaint involving an open door at an abandoned house.
November 3
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of North Center Ave for a landlord / tenant dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 6 th Ave for a verbal domestic dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NE 9 th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. Officer was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
