November 4
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 4 th Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial.
Officer met a resident at the Galva PD to gather further info on a battery complaint that was reported this past weekend.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NW 9 th Street to attempt to locate a subject that had made suicidal and homicidal comments at a medical office in Kewanee. The subject was not located at this time.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 6 th Street for a complaint involving a violation of pretrial conditions. A report was forwarded to the State’s Attorneys Office for consideration of charges.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of West Division Street for an activated burglar alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1200 block of NW 3 rd Ave, Nicole Piper, 37, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released with a required court date.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 00 block of NW 6 th Ave, Savannah Kulavic, 28, Rantoul, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 4 th Street for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the east edge of town to watch for a reckless driver. As the result, Anabelle Twomey, 23, Galva, was issued a citation for improper lane usage.
Officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of SE 2 nd Street for a reckless driving complaint. The suspect vehicle was not located.
November 5
Officer was dispatched to Route 34 several miles east of town for a possible two vehicle accident. The accident was later located north of Kewanee.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NE 4 th Ave for an aggravated battery complaint.
November 6
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 5 th Ave for a possible carbon monoxide alarm.
Officer was dispatched to check for a bicyclist riding between Galva and Kewanee in the darkness. The subject was not located.
November 7
Officer was dispatched to the Chester Street railroad crossing for construction workers being present without a BNSF permit.
Officer was dispatched to assist Henry Co with a 2 vehicle accident with damage only on Route 34 near Midland Road.
Officer was dispatched to the NE 2 nd Street railroad crossing for juveniles that were standing very close to the railroad tracks as a train approached. The train engineer reportedly had to apply the emergency brakes and ltimately blocked all of the Galva crossings for an extended time.
November 8
Officer was dispatched to the Exchange Street railroad crossings for a subject standing on the railroad tracks. Officer was not able to locate.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NE 5 th Street for an obstruction in the roadway. The item was removed.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 7 th Ave for a welfare check. The subject was fine.

Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 4 th Street for a prowler complaint. Officer was not able to locate anyone.
November 9
Officer was dispatched to the intersection of Industrial Ave and SE 2 nd Street for a complaint involving the stop sign being knocked down by an unknown vehicle. IDOT was notified and brought a temporary sign.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 3 rd Ave for a complaint involving a group of juveniles standing in the roadway. They had departed prior to officer’s arrival.
November 10
Officer was notified that all Galva railroad crossings were blocked. Officer checked and found at least one was open for traffic.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street to assist a citizen.
