Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 1 st Ave to assist Ameren with an aggressive dog after a possible natural gas leak was detected.
Officer was notified of a disabled vehicle partially blocking Bonham Road near 1900 East. The owner was contacted and the car was removed for snow plows to clean the roadway.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7 th Street for a verbal domestic disturbance and to remove an unwanted subject.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of South Exchange Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7 th Street for a loose cat inside a building complaint. Officer advised complainant to contact landlord as it wasn’t a police issue.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 4 th Street for a verbal domestic disturbance.
December 16
As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of West Division Street, Samuel Abdelkoui, 64, Galva, was arrested on a Henry Co warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving while license suspended. He was also charged with driving without a valid drivers license. The warrant was a catch-and-release. He was released with required court dates for both offenses.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 7 th Ave for a welfare check after a domestic disturbance was reported by a family member. The complaint was unfounded.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 6 th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a mis dial.
December 17
As the result of a traffic stop in the 900 block of West Division Street, Terry Yelm, 33, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 00 block of NE 2 nd Street, Allison Gillum, 31, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when her drivers license was cancelled. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2 nd Street to assist a citizen.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 5 th Ave for a loose dog complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 2 nd Ave for a runaway juvenile complaint. The youth returned home a short time later.
December 18
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 6 th Street to assist a citizen.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 2 nd Street for a child custody dispute. The child was located and returned home.
Officer was again dispatched to the 200 block of NW 2 nd Street for a child custody dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Swank Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was determined to be a mis dial.

Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 4 th Ave for a loud noise complaint. Officer was not able to locate the source.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 4 th Ave for a loose dog complaint. Officer was not able to locate.
December 20
Officer was dispatched to meet a resident at the Galva PD to assist a citizen with questions.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 4 th Street to check the welfare of a subject. They were fine.
Officer was dispatched to the north edge of town to watch for a reckless driver that was reportedly S/B towards Galva. As the result, Brandi York, 30, Galva, was stopped in the 600 block of North Center Ave and cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a trespassing complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 1 st Ave for a loud music complaint. The subjects agreed to turn it down.

Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for a civil property dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NE 2 nd Street to assist a citizen.
