March 10
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. The subject was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to obtain a copy of a crash report from a few days earlier.
Officer met with a subject at City Hall in reference to an ongoing neighbor dispute.
Officer assisted Henry Co with a traffic stop north of town.
Officer assisted Kewanee PD with attempting to locate a Galva resident who lost his wallet in Kewanee. Officer was not able to locate.
Officer assisted Henry Co with a car vs deer accident north of town.
March 11
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 8 th Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a small child playing with the phone.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a verbal disturbance complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of North Center Ave for a verbal disturbance involving a motorist that had stopped and was trying to fight a resident. The motorist was advised to move along.
March 12
Officer spoke to a resident in the 200 block of NW 6 th Ave about a city ordinance violation, involving burning on a non-burn day.
Officer was advised of a controlled grass fire in the 1300 block of James B Young Road.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1 st Street for a city ordinance violation, involving burning on a non-burn day.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NW 3 rd Ave for a dog bite involving a child bitten by a family pet. The dog was euthanized the following morning after the family decided they didn’t want it.
Officer assisted Henry Co with a mental subject that was jumping in front of cars on Route 34 east of town. The subject was reportedly hitchhiking from Peoria to Kewanee.
March 13
Officer spoke to a resident by telephone in reference to a harassment complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 3 rd Street for a disturbance complaint involving a subject pointing a bb gun towards pedestrians. As the result, Herman Brown, 56, Galva, was arrested for reckless conduct and disorderly conduct. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was advised of a crossing arm malfunction at the SW 6 th Ave railroad tracks. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to a verbal disturbance in the 00 block of SW 4 th Street, involving threats.
March 14
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of NW 7 th Ave for a dispute involving a parent and child.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of West Division Street for a report involving 3 loose dogs. They were taken back into the house.
Officer removed an obstruction from the roadway in the 800 block of SE 2 nd Street.
Officer assisted the fire department with a ditch fire near the intersection of Bonham Road and 1850 East.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 7 th Street for a harassment complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 3 rd Ave for a juvenile complaint involving a child refusing to return home.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a verbal disturbance complaint.

March 15
While patrolling, officer noticed a utility wire that had been pulled down by a fallen branch in the 300 block of SW 7 th Street. It was determined to be a cable wire.
Officer went to the 600 block of SE 2 nd Street to return a license plate that was found several miles west of town. It was returned.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to retrieve a vehicle from the city impound lot.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 4 th Ave to speak to a resident about a city ordinance violation.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 3 rd Ave for a disturbance involving juveniles.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 3 rd Ave for a juvenile that refused to return home to a parent.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 6 th Street to remove an unwanted subject.
March 16
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 7 th Ave for a verbal domestic dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of NW 7 th Ave for a child custody dispute.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 700 block of West Division Street, Tyler Sides, 38, Versailles, was arrested for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance, operating an uninsured vehicle, and a Lake Co, IL warrant for failing to appear on charges of unlawful restraint, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Henry Co Jail.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4 th Street to assist a citizen who seemed to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
