February 24
Officer spoke to a subject by telephone in reference to a lost or missing cell phone. It has not been located or turned in yet.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Morgan Road for a two vehicle accident with damage only. A crash report was completed.

February 25
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to complete a new sex offender registration. The form was emailed to Henry Co for LEADS entry.
Officer assisted Henry Co with a disabled vehicle east of town on Route 34. The driver was located in Galva.

February 26
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Exchange Street to assist a citizen who left some keys in a door. The keys were retrieved and given back to the owner later.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Ave for a verbal domestic dispute between father and son.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of North Center Ave for a “road rage incident” that ended there. The victim did not want to press charges.

February 27
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 3 rd Street for an activated burglar alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of West Division Street for a neighborhood complaint involving a subject breaking their own windows. The subject was suffering from a mental health crisis, however, it was not considered to be a crime.

February 28
While patrolling, officer noticed a large tree branch that had fallen into the road in the 300 block of North Cetner Ave. It was removed.
Officer, along with the fire department, were dispatched to the 400 block of NW 5 th Street for an out-of-control burn in their yard. A neighbor’s trampoline was destroyed. As the result, Brenda Johnson, 52, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for burning on a non-burn day.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1100 block of SE 2 nd Street, Justin Hare, 35, Altona, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. He was released with a required court date.
While patrolling, officer noticed a crossing arm malfunction at the SW 6 th Ave railroad crossing. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 5 th Street to assist a citizen.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 3 rd Ave for a disturbance complaint. It was reported that “vehicles were chasing complainant.” Officer was not able to locate any suspect vehicles.

March 1
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NW 1 st Street to assist a motorist. The subject locked their keys inside the vehicle. Tarletons were contacted to assist.
Officer, along with the ambulance, were dispatched to a medical emergency in the 1000 block of SE 2 nd Street.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NW 1 st Ave for a welfare check. The complainant saw a social media post about these residents being deceased. Officer made contact and the subjects were alive and well.

March 2
Officer assisted Henry Co with a traffic stop in the 900 block of SW 2 nd Street involving a wanted subject. They were able to post bond and were released.

Kevin McCutchan, 29, Aledo, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 800 block of SE 2 nd Street.

March 1
Riley Hansen, 22, Neponset, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2 nd Street.
