March 24
Officer was dispatched to Wiley Park to recover a drone that had been located. It was learned that a Galva resident had been using a drone and it had gotten stuck in a tree in the park. It was returned to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4th Street to assist a citizen who appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was again dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4th Street to assist a citizen who appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SE Industrial Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be an accidental pocket dial.
Officer was once again dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4th Street to assist a citizen who appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 6th Ave for a two vehicle accident with damage only that occurred in a driveway. A crash report was completed.

March 25
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NW 5th Ave to assist Stark Co Medic with a medical emergency.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 7th Street for an animal complaint involving a dog that barks excessively.
March 26
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for a disturbance. A subject was taken by ambulance for a mental health evaluation.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 4th Street for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 6th Street for a telephone harassment / threats complaint.
March 27
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a disturbance. The subject appeared to be suffering a mental health crisis.
Officer was again dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a disturbance. The subject appeared to be suffering a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 3rd Street to assist a motorist. The subject had ran out of fuel and had a friend bring a small can and get him back on his way.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2nd Street for a hit-and – run accident. A suspect vehicle fled the area and was not located. A crash report was completed.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD who was requesting copies of reports through the freedom of information act.
March 28
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SE 1st Ave to assist a motorist whose vehicle had become disabled. The truck was pushed off the side of the roadway and a wrecker was called to remove it.
Officer, along with the fire department, were dispatched to 300 North just east of County Highway 5 for a fully engulfed vehicle. The occupants were able to get out but the car was completely destroyed.
March 29
Officer was dispatched to Wiley Park around 2am for a complaint involving a group of juveniles climbing onto the roof of the pavilion. Officer was not able to locate anyone.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 4th Street for a loose dog complaint. The animal owner took the dog back inside and was warned about the Illinois leash law.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE 2nd Street, Michael Huggins, 44, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. He was released with a required court date.
March 30
While conducting a park check, officer located broken windows at the Washington Park restroom building. This remains under investigation.
Officer assisted Stark Co Medic at a residence on SE 6th Ave for a subject that was hallucinating and suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 6th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was a small child playing with a parent’s phone.
Officer was again dispatched to a residence on SE 6th Ave for a subject suffering from a mental health crisis.
