July 6
Officer met with a resident that the Galva Police Department who was wanting a copy of a police report from a previous incident.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 3 rd Street for a loose dog complaint. The dog was impounded and later released back to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to a business on SE 2 nd Street to remove an unwanted employee. The subject had left prior to police arrival.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of North Center Ave for a civil property dispute.
Officer was dispatched to assist the ambulance at a residence on NW 9 th Street.
Officer checked on an unsecured door in the 300 block of Front Street. It was able to be secured.

July 7
Officer met with a subject at the Galva Police Department to discuss a recent complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of NW 3 rd Ave for an oil spill on the roadway. Officer noticed tar that had previously been used on the roadway, but nothing new was spilled.
Officer, along with the ambulance and fire department, were dispatched to a residence on Trolly Road for a medical emergency involving an unresponsive patient. Life-saving efforts were unsuccessful. The Coroner was contacted to respond.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street to exchange property from a civil stand by.
Officer was flagged down on Exchange Street in reference to information about an issue.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2 nd Ave for a loud music complaint. Officer checked the area, but was not able to locate any music playing.
Officer assisted Henry Co with a traffic stop west of town on Route 34.

July 8
While patrolling, officer observed a group of subjects at Wiley Park after hours. As officer pulled in, all subjects fled on foot in various directions. Several items were left behind and collected by officers.
Officer met with a family member of a subject to pick up car keys that had been lost.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. Officer checked the area, but did not locate anyone needing assistance.
Officer spoke to a registered sex offender by telephone that had several questions. Officer sent an email to the Illinois State Police-sex offender unit for clarification.
Officer assisted Kewanee PD by locating a vehicle involved in a personal injury hit-and-run accident that occurred in Kewanee. Officer detained the suspect in the 500 block of North Center Ave until Kewanee officer came and took driver into custody.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 4 th Ave for an illegal burning complaint. Officer explained the ordinance and the subject put the fire out.

July 9
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street to remove an unwanted subject.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3 rd Street for a property line dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2 nd Street to remove an unwanted subject.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 4 th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be two juvenile sisters fighting. They were released to a parent.
Officer was dispatched to assist a citizen with a marriage proposal in the 200 block of NE 4 th Street.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 3 rd Ave for a neglected dog complaint. The dog had been taken back into the residence prior to police arrival.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 7 th Ave for a civil stand by to exchange a cat.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of NW 5 th Ave for a loose dog complaint. Officer checked the area, but did not locate it.
Officer was dispatched to the north edge of town to watch for a suspect vehicle in a hit-and-run damage only complaint. Henry Co located the vehicle before it made it to Galva.

July 10
As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of Market Street, a 17 year old Kewanee juvenile was issued a citation for operating a vehicle with revoked registration. He was released with a court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 6 th Street to assist a citizen who had questions abou an order of protection.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a harassment through electronic communications complaint.
Officer was flagged down about an abandoned ATV with trailer along Hayes Road west of town. Officer located the ATV, but it was removed shortly after.
Officer was dispatched to meet a juvenile at the front door at the Police Dept to assist a juvenile who refused to return home. A crisis intervention counsellor was able to sort it out and the juvenile returned home.

July 11
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SE 3 rd Ave for a complaint involving a broken tree limb on a city tree. Officer placed caution tape around the area and referred it to the Street Dept.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 6 th Street for a civil stand by to retrieve property.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 7 th Ave for a juvenile custody dispute. The juvenile did return home.

July 12
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NE 9 th Street to remove debris from the roadway that possibly fell off an unknown passing vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 4 th Street for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a verbal domestic disturbance.
