July 13
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street to remove an unwanted subject that was harassing and threatening a resident.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 6 th Street for a civil standby to retrieve property.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of SE 3 rd Ave, Debanhi Mendoza, 20, Monmouth, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of SE 1 st Street for a soliciting complaint. A subject was located and advised of the ordinance that requires a permit.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 4 th Street for a suicidal subject making threats of self harm.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 4 th Ave for a solicitors complaint. Officer learned nobody had a valid permit, but officer was not able to locate them.
July 14
Officer was flagged down in the 500 block of SW 7 th Street to assist a motorist who had located a subject that had fallen and was not injured.
Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD to renew their annual sex offender registration. The form was completed and emailed to Henry Co for LEADS entry.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 1 st Ave to assist a resident who had questions about vehicle ownership.
Officer was dispatched to a verbal disturbance between neighbors in the 900 block of West Division Street.
While patrolling, officer located two solicitors in the 500 block of North Center Ave. They did not have a permit. They were advised of the ordinance and decided to leave town instead of obtaining a permit.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a civil property dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 9 th Street for a verbal domestic disturbance.
July 15
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a complaint involving an intoxicated subject that was causing a disturbance. Officer convinced the suspect to quiet down and go to bed.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of IL Highway 17 for an activated burglar alarm. After arrival, it was determined to be a false alarm.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 7 th Street for a complaint of a subject that had fallen in the roadway and needed assistance. The subject was not injured and requested a ride back to their residence. Officer gave them a ride back home.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for a suspicious vehicle and to remove an unwanted subject. The offender was told to leave and cooperated.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 2 nd Street for a possible trespassing / harassment complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the intersection of Main Street and Exchange Street for a semi truck vs car accident with damage only. A crash report was completed.
Officer found an unsecured door in the 200 block of NW 4 th Ave. The area was checked and the door was secured.
July 16
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 3 rd Ave for a possible disturbance that occurred earlier.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 7 th Street for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer spoke to a citizen by telephone in reference to ongoing harassment.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 2 nd Street for a loose dog complaint. The dog was impounded and later released to it’s owner.
July 17
Officer was dispatched to Wiley Park for a complaint involving an unsupervised juvenile walking around. As the result, William Barnes, 42, and Courtney Turner, 33, both of Galva were arrested for endangering the life and / or health of a child. They were released with required court dates.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 11 th Ave for a low speed vehicle inspection.
July 18
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street for an out-of-control juvenile complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 3 rd Ave for a dog bite complaint.
Officer assisted Kewanee PD with locating a subject that was involved in a domestic disturbance in Kewanee. Henry Co transported the subject back to Kewanee for follow up.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 11 th Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 6 th Ave for a wild animal complaint involving two coyotes in the area. Officer was not able to locate.
July 19
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Ave for a landlord / tenant dispute.
Officer was dispatched again to the 00 block of NE 4 th Ave for another landlord / tenant dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a trespassing complaint.
Officer was given a cell phone that was found after the weekly concert in Wiley Park. About 20 minutes later, the owner arrived and the phone was returned.
