June 29
Officer was dispatched to the Galva Park District to assist the ambulance for a patient with a leg/foot injury.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4 th Street to assist a citizen who appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
While patrolling, officer noticed that a train had stopped and was blocking all Galva crossings. BNSF was contacted and the train eventually moved along.

Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 2 nd Ave for a civil complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 6 th Ave for a accidental damage complaint after a neighbor melted some siding on a neighbor’s house. Officer exchanged owner info so they could work out repairs.
While patrolling, officer noticed that a train had stopped and was blocking all Galva crossings. BNSF was contacted and the train eventually moved along.
Officer was dispatched to the SW 4 th Ave railroad crossing for a trespassing on railroad property complaint. Officer checked the area, but didn’t locate anyone.
While patrolling, officer located a small group of juveniles walking around slightly after curfew. They were advised to head home, which they did.

July 1
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 4 th Street for a welfare check after a subject reportedly made some suicidal comments. The subject spoke to ambulance staff and was able to sign a refusal.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2 nd Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street to assist a citizen.
Officer was dispatched to Galva City Hall to remove an irate customer after a disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 6 th Street for a possible violation of an order of protection. It was learned that the order had not been served yet. Officer used a short form notification and served the information to the suspect.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a harassment complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 6 th Ave to attempt to locate an intoxicated subject on a bicycle. Officer was not able to locate.

July 2
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of North Center Ave for an animal neglect complaint. It was unfounded.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a disorderly conduct complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 5 th Ave for a criminal damage to state supported property complaint.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD who had found a cell phone on the roadway. The owner was contacted and came to retrieve the phone.
Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD to surrender a FOID card after they were notified their card had been suspended. All paperwork was completed and submitted.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a telephone / text message harassment complaint.

July 3
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NE 5 th Ave for a loose dog complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 7 th Street to remove an unwanted subject that was loitering in the roadway near a residence.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a disorderly conduct complaint.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 4 th Street for a welfare check on a suicidal subject. They were located and taken by ambulance for evaluation / treatment.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 10 th Ave for an illegal fireworks complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NW 3 rd Ave for a larger tree branch that had fallen during the thunderstorm. Officer was able to move it out of the roadway.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 5 th Street for a violation of an order of protection complaint.

July 4
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4 th Street to assist a resident that appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the intersection of NE 8 th Street and NE 2 nd Ave for a utility wire down in the roadway. It was determined to be a phone wire. Frontier was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Market Street to assist a subject that had placed a wallet and cell phone on top of a car and drove off. The items were found and returned.
Officer, along with the fire department, were dispatched to Hayes Road near 1950 East for a report of a small fire on a freight train engine that had stopped there.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 5 th Street for an illegal fireworks complaint.
Officer was dispatched to a verbal disturbance in the 00 block of SW 4 th Street.
Officer was dispatched to a physical disturbance in the 300 block of SE 5 th Street. As the result, Charles Crotts, 42, Laura, Jennifer Crotts, 49, Laura, and Sorcia Campbell, 31, Kewanee, were all arrested for battery. Sorcia was released with a notice to appear in court. Charles and Laura were transported to the Henry Co Jail.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 6 th Street for an illegal fireworks complaint.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on Main Street for a suicidal subject that had reportedly consumed alcohol and a large number of pills. Officer had to force entry into residence. After a physical struggle and taser deployment, the subject was transported by ambulance. Charges are pending.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 10 th Ave for an illegal fireworks complaint.

July 5
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 8 th Ave for an attempted break-in, prowler complaint that had occurred earlier.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of East Division Street for a neglected animal complaint. A friend came and took possession of a dog.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of North Center Ave for a physical domestic disturbance. As the result, Kody Beller, 31, Galva, was arrested for domestic battery. He was transported to the Henry Co Jail.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 5 th Street for a welfare check.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2 nd Street for a hitch-hiker complaint. The subject was given a ride for a short distance.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of West Division Street for a verbal disturbance complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1 st Ave to remove an unwanted subject.
