October 6
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 7 th Street to remove an unwanted subject.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NW 4 th Ave for a complaint involving harassing phone messages.
As the result of a theft complaint last week, Jamie Howard, 36, Galva, was arrested for theft over $500, and theft of utility services. She was issued a notice to appear and released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 3 rd Ave for a loose dog complaint. The animal owner arrived and took possession of the dog.
Officer went to the 100 block of NW 3 rd Ave in reference to a city ordinance violation for having a large collection of furniture in public view. The residents were warned and cleaned up the items.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NE 2 nd Street to assist a subject that locked themselves out of their residence. Officer was able to find an unlocked door and assist the subject.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 2 nd Street for a suspicious vehicle complaint. Officer determined the subject was looking at a lawn mower for sale.
Officer was dispatched to meet a subject at the Galva PD to collect a debit card that was turned in. It was returned to it’s rightful owner.
Officer went to the 500 block of SW 7 th Street to attempt to locate a wanted subject. As the result, Patrick Hammons, 69, Galva, was arrested on a Henry Co warrant for failing to appear on the charge of driving while license suspended. The warrant was a “no bond warrant.” He was transported to the Henry Co Jail.

October 7
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 9 th Ave for an illegal burning complaint. Officer responded and the complaint was unfounded.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of West Division Street to assist the Galva Water Dept.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SE 6 th Street for a solicitor complaint. Officer located the subject and referred him to city hall to obtain a permit.
Officer was dispatched to assist a stranded subject walking east of town along Route 34.
Officer was dispatched to the north edge of town for a reckless driving complaint. Officer located the suspect vehicle but did not have probable cause for a traffic stop.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4 th Street to assist a resident that appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer, along with the fire department, were dispatched several miles NW of town for a fully engulfed vehicle fire.

October 8
Officer was dispatched to Route 17 near the Galva Cemetery to check the welfare of a subject laying in the ditch. It was a repairman doing utility maintenance.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial.

October 9
Officer met with a Galva resident at the Galva PD to update their sex offender registration. A completed copy was emailed to Henry Co for LEADS entry.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street to assist a citizen.

October 10
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Front Street for a disturbance involving a group of juveniles.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 1 st Ave for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 2 nd Ave to remove an unwanted subject / child custody dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of West Division Street for a disorderly conduct complaint.

October 11
Officer was dispatched to Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SE 2 nd Street for an activated panic alarm. It was a false alarm.
Officer was dispatched to the intersection of SE 2 nd Street and SE 3 rd Ave for a two vehicle accident. As the result, Alexandria Pollock, 25, Kewanee, was issued a citation for failure to yield the right-of way while turning left.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 7 th Street for a harassment complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SW 2 nd Street for a threats complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1 st Ave for a complaint involving juvenile mischief.

October 12
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 8 th Ave for a civil complaint involving a vehicle that was taken without permission, damaged, and abandoned there.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of East Division Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be an accidental pocket dial.
