A group of high school students from Wethersfield High School spent their Saturday morning handing out school supplies and free clothing to community members in need. The Next Generation for Christ is sponsoring a free meal tonight, July 27th, from 5:30 to 7 PM at the First Christian Church, located at 105 Dwight Street. These students were impressed with the helping hands they saw from other students while they were on a mission with the First Christian Church. They started The Next Generation for Christ as a way to help the community and give back. They can help with groceries or other necessities you may need. They have helped people clean their homes before and they also helped with storm cleanup after two EF-1 Tornadoes hit Kewanee. I hope you find these kids as amazing as I do.
