CARTHAGE, IL – A Hamilton, IL man was injured Sunday afternoon after jumping from a moving vehicle.
According to reports, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call about a traffic crash involving a man jumping from a moving vehicle on IL-HWY 96 near County Road 1600N.
On arrival, deputies learned that Dylan J. Kroeger, 27, had sustained serious injuries after falling from a moving vehicle. Kroeger was transported to the University of Iowa Hospital via AirEvac.
During the investigation the driver, Shaina J. Kroger, 33, was found to be inebriated, and was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
The matter is still under investigation and all persons charged with a crime are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
