Hammond-Henry Hospital has tightened its visitor policy in response to an increase in respiratory and other contagious illnesses. Individuals under the age of 18 are currently not permitted to visit. The Emergency Department is limiting access to just one visitor per patient. Meanwhile, the medical-surgical and long-term care units are allowing up to two visitors per patient or resident. These measures are intended to reduce the risk of illness spreading within the hospital. The restrictions are effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice, as health officials continue to monitor the situation.
“For the safety of our patients, visitors, and staff, visitor restrictions are currently in effect due to an increase in respiratory and other contagious illnesses. These precautions will remain in place until further notice. Thank you for your understanding as we work to keep everyone safe.”
