In a recent update from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, an ongoing death investigation from March 10, 2024, reached a new phase after analysts at the Illinois State Museum processed the skeletal remains found in rural Kewanee. The remains are of a Caucasian male, aged between 30 and 53, measuring between 5’6″ and 5’9″. Despite being in good physical shape, he had previous head trauma. Authorities have now released a sketch artist’s rendering of the potential likeness of the deceased, hoping it might trigger public recognition. Local missing persons have been ruled out based on physical and dental records. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lead Investigator, Sergeant Detective Jake Koster, at 309-937-3911.
