Authorities from the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office are asking for help in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident in Lyndon. Sheriff John Booker says that between late May 25 and early May 26, a black Ram pickup, model years 2014 to 2018, struck a utility pole and left the scene. Debris found at the scene led officials to identify the make and model. The truck likely has significant front-end damage and is missing its left headlight. Anyone who has spotted a vehicle matching this description in the Lyndon, Prophetstown, or Erie areas should contact the Sheriff’s Office at 815-772-4044 with any information.
