The American Red Cross is urgently requesting blood donations after more than 100 blood drives were canceled due to Hurricane Helene’s impact in the Southeast. Vital blood products remain uncollected, threatening supplies needed for urgent medical care. Donors in unaffected areas are encouraged to schedule donations immediately to stabilize the national supply. Blood drives are ongoing through October.
