The Henry and Stark County Health Departments, along with First Choice Healthcare, are emphasizing the importance of CPR certification for residents. Heart disease remains the top cause of death nationwide, and early intervention can make a life-saving difference. Monthly CPR classes are available every fourth Tuesday between 4 and 6 PM at the Health Department offices in Kewanee. These sessions cover emergency recognition, CPR techniques for all age groups, and proper use of AEDs. Registration is required and costs $45 per participant. Space is limited, so those interested should call 852-0197, Extension 231, to secure a spot.
